“Depois do fim” emerged from a challenge presented to choreographer and dancer Ricardo Ambrózio in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Fafe Ballet School. This production delves into the intricacies of memory and its often unreliable nature, illustrating how memories can sometimes solidify into distorted versions of reality. Drawing inspiration from Pablo Neruda’s “20 Poems of Love and a Song of Despair,” “After the End” embarks on a journey that explores the potential for memories to be both constructed and fabricated by a diverse group of strangers who intersect at various points in time. By weaving together fragmented narratives, the performance invites the audience to actively engage in piecing together these incomplete stories and memories, offering an immersive experience that transcends the confines of the stage.
